White House press secretary Sarah Sanders had some fun with NBC reporters who questioned her on the tax plan and the government funding agreement.

“Hopefully you’re one of the NBC reporters that’s getting one of those bonuses,” Sanders quipped to NBC White House reporter Kristen Welker on Thursday after a group of reporters asked her questions on the White House driveway.

“Not yet,” Welker replied.

Comcast announced on Wednesday that their employees, which includes MSNBC, CNBC, and NBC, would get a $1,000 bonus after the tax plan passed.

The statement from Comcast read:

Based on the passage of tax reform and the FCC’s action on broadband, Brian L. Roberts, Chairman and CEO of Comcast NBCUniversal, announced that the Company would award special $1,000 bonuses to more than one hundred thousand eligible frontline and non-executive employees. Roberts also announced that the Company expects to spend well in excess of $50 billion over the next five years investing in infrastructure to radically improve and extend our broadband plant and capacity, and our television, film and theme park offerings. With these investments, we expect to add thousands of new direct and indirect jobs. We will have more to say on capital at our upcoming January 24th earnings report.

On Twitter, Sanders highlighted a report from CNN’s Brian Stelter about the Comcast Christmas bonus.

“Even the media is getting a pay raise for Christmas because of the Donald Trump tax cuts,” she wrote.

CNBC’s John Harwood did not mention on the Comcast bonus on Twitter, although he was skeptical about the motivation behind AT&T’s decision to offer bonuses.

isn’t AT&T scrambling to overcome Trump administration opposition to Time-Warner deal? this is an announcement Trump will love https://t.co/lvM5DOCkuG

At least 21,347 people have been killed in conflict, including more than 5,800 civilian adults and children who were directly targeted[i], despite the adoption of a UN Security Council resolution calling for a global cessation of hostilities some 90 days ago. Instead of a ceasefire, allowing countries and humanitarian organisations to focus on battling the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing violence is pushing millions to the brink of conflict-induced famine and hindering the battle against the outbreak.
